The otaku marriage consultation service ToraCon has been expanding with events geared toward both men and women since its launch in February 2017. The company recently revealed three new “party” events to help bring potential couples together.

First, ToraCon will hold a tasting event for anime collaboration wine and sake in the kitchen space at the Tora building in Tokyo on May 12. The event will feature wines from the Shiraito Shuzō sake brewery, which is known for collaborating with various anime for special promotional wines. The event will offer four different anime-themed wines, and the event page gives hints about which anime the wines may represent. Guests are encouraged to enjoy sampling wine while talking with each other. The event is open to men and women between the ages of 28 to 38, but the men must make at least 4 million yen (about US$37,000) per year.

Second, ToraCon will hold a Lolita tea party in collaboration with lolita wedding dress brand Hiroko Tokumine at Hiroko Tokumine Atelier in Tokyo on May 19. The event will showcase lolita fashion and promote respectful discussion of the trend. Both men and women can be up to 39 years old, and men must earn at least 3.5 million yen (about US$33,000) per year.

Finally, ToraCon will hold a pilgrimage to Kanda Myōjin shrine in Tokyo on June 2. The shrine features in the Love Live! anime, and it has already collaborated with anime such as Love Live!, Sword Art Online, and Is the order a rabbit?. Due to its proximity to Akihabara, the shrine attracts many otaku and technophiles. The ToraCon event will feature a special prayer, and guests will have a meal at Myōjin Cafe. Participants can be between the ages of 30 and 45, and males must make at least 4 million yen (about US$37,000) per year.

Each event has different participation fees for men and women, with women being able to participate for cheaper fees. All of the events are open to a maximum of eight to ten participants of either sex. ToraCon’s official website is accepting applications to participate in all the events now, but the lolita event is already sold out.
