Metal and Pop, not exactly the first combination of music you would expect but at Japan Expo LA, 564 did just that, performing their high energy Metal Pop music to a crowd of equally energetic fans.
Gouhou Lolita Syndrome (Legal Lolita Syndrome in English), opting to go by the name 564 during the duration of Japan Expo LA is composed of the second generation duo of Halu and Hiro, who joined on March 13th of 2014. There is a third member, named Rinen, however since she is underaged, she does not perform often and as a result was not present at Japan Expo LA. 564 has released three singles to date, two of which by the current members. 2015 marked the first year in which 564 were active outside of Japan, being active for the first time at Japan Expo Paris and Japan Expo LA, where we were able to get an interview with the duo.
Can you please introduce yourselves?
Halu: I’m Halu
Hiro: I’m Hiro
Both: …and we’re 564!
Why do you sing Metal Pop music?
Halu: We didn’t start to sing this type of music until after we had joined 564.
Besides your own type of music, what other kinds of music do you like listening too?
Hiro: I actually don’t listen to Metal Pop that often.
Halu: Originally, I liked listening to Hard Rock but I have been listening to more Metal Pop so I can learn from it and practice and get better ideas for our own performances.
So what kind of music does Hiro like to listen to?
Hiro: I like to listen to Idol music like AKB48.
What kind of goal do both of you want to achieve in 564?
Halu: We don’t have an obvious goal that we want to achieve right now but we want to be able to perform on much large stages to a bigger audience.
If you were a dessert, what dessert would you be?
Both: Dessert? This is the first time we’ve heard that kind of question.
Food is fine too!
Halu: Ice cream.
Serrina: Ice cream?
Halu: Yes, because I love ice cream!
Hiro: Dessert…Macaroon…with cream, because I like narrow spaces. I like getting squished.
Last question, could you give a message to your fans?
Halu: We, 564(Lolisyn) were able to have our first live in Los Angeles at Japan Expo! We want more people to see us so we want not just Japan but the people of Los Angeles to know more about us as well! Thank you very much! Thank you very much!
Hiro and Halu will be graduating from 564 on February 28, 2016 after their final live at TwinBox AKIHABARA. We are sad to see these two amazing performers leave the group, but we wish them the best of luck for their future plans and 564’s future plans!
