Ichiban Kuji is collaborating with the Dragon Ball Super anime to launch the “Dragon Ball ~Super Senshi Battle Retsuden~” prize lottery line at 7-Eleven and Ito-Yokado locations in Japan beginning on May 2. Each attempt at the prize lottery will cost 650 yen (about US$6).
The lineup includes nine levels of prizes with a total of 23 varieties of prizes. The A through F Prizes are Ultra Instinct Son Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Super Saiyan 2 Son Gohan, Super Saiyan Trunks, Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegito figures. The G Prize is three varieties of mugs, the H Prize is six varieties of paper boards with artist OKAZU‘s sumi-e (ink wash painting) images, and the I Prize is eight varieties of small plates also featuring OKAZU‘s art.
OKAZU previously created sumi-e art for franchises such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Rurouni Kenshin.
At each location, the person who purchase’s the final prize ticket will receive the Last One Prize, which is an Ultra Instinct -Sign- Son Goku figure. Another 50 people will also be able to use their ticket stubs to win the A Prize Goku figure through the “double chance campaign.”
The upcoming 20th Dragon Ball film, tentatively titled Dragon Ball Super, is planned for a global release on December 14, the day it will open in Japan. The Dragon Ball Super television anime premiered in Japan in July 2015.
